Griaule has won a public bid from the brazilian electoral court, TSE, to provide it with one of the largest biometric systems in the world, capable of enrolling 160 million people. The contract was signed by the President-minister Marco Aurélio Mello and published in the Diário Oficial da União (check link). The brazilian technology is considered to be the most accurate in international (check link) competitions and it is up to 40 times more efficient than the later ones. With this acquisition TSE has saved funds and has guaranteed technological independence in the electoral platform.
