I have developed a fully-functional (including callback delegates) that wraps the Win32 GrFinger.dll (not the ActiveX library). It works great and we have used it in a client-server C# application (on both the client and server side).
I have also developed a System.Windows.Forms.UserControl based form-control that provides a PictureBox to display the FP image etc. and uses the C# wrapper for all functionality - it also provides event handling in a thread-safe way using the Invoke/InvokeRequired mechanism on the callbacks. We have used this control in Windows Forms applications. Also, we have written a basic web-application (ASP.NET) that utilizes the control client-side in Internet Explorer with full event handling implemented in javascript.
As part of the database we have provided C# classes that implement a Database provider interface and implements an enrollment database in XML.
I am prepared to make the source-code available (AS-IS and NO GUARANTEES or SUPPORT) to anyone who is interested.
