Dear customer,

To know if we do support this reader from Dell, you should take a look at this page: http://www.griaulebiometrics.com/page/en/fingerprint_sdk/supported_readers
We do not specifically support Dell fingerprint readers, but if this reader is confirmed as one of the supported ones, you should not have problems at all, you just have to be sure to install it's own updated driver. Otherwise, if this reader is not listed on our page, the SDK will probably not work with the reader.

Hope it helps you.
Best regards,

Dear customer,

Are you getting any errors? Or it just don't recognizes the reader?
Does Fingerprint SDK 2009 runs correctly? Did you try to run a sample? In affirmative case, which sample did you try?

If something is showed in the screen, could you please sent a printscreen for us to take a look?

Best regards,

Dear customer,

Could you please try to reinstall Fingerprint SDK 2009 and the reader driver?
Then please test the sample again.

It's not common that the reader works on a computer and doen't work in other.

Best regards,

Dear customer,

Your problem was solved?
We're checking and the Digital Persona appears to be using a Digital Persona's fingerprint reader inside it's reader, before they used Microsoft's.
If you already have this issue, you'll have to ask them if your reader is the new or the old one.
If it's the new, and if the reader is the Digital Persona u.are.u 4500, you will have to follow these instructions: http://www.griaulebiometrics.com/page/en-us/kb/u_are_u_4500 to install your fingerprint reader. Otherwise, if it's the MS's reader, you'll have to use the FingerCap 2.1 driver, available for download at Griaule's Download page.

Best regards,

Dear customer,

First of all, if you want to use your integrated fingerprint reader, you will need to check if it is one of the supported fingerprint readers: http://www.griaulebiometrics.com/fingerprint_sdk/supported_readers
If it is supported, after that you can download Fingerprint SDK 2009 from our website, get a trial license from your account and test the SDK.
It comes with a sample in it that allows you to test it.

Best regards,
