Microsoft fingerprint reader

Two questions.

Is there a serial number model licence in Microsoft fingerprint reader? (like UareU reader does)

Does Microsoft reader only works under XP?

No, I try it and noticed that the license request software read serial only from U.are.U.

The microsoft reader only works on Windows XP, because password manager not even install on other systems.
