I connected the latest Secugen HSDU03M fingerprint reader to my PC. The Secugen diagnostic worked just fine – accepted the finger with ease. Then I installed Griaule SDK on my PC and tried Griaule’s very own test application – “FingerprintNetSample” – and it didn’t work.
I tried the Griaule's Secugen driver - SecuGen_USB_Driver - but it didn't have support option for the "HSDU03M". The driver listed only options for HFDU01,HFDU02,MFDU01 and MFDU02. Also the driver files that came with the HSDU03M were newer versions (venus.dll)
I then tried Griaules FingerCap driver and still the FingerprintNetSample application didn't work.
I then connected the older Secugen HFDU02R fingerprint reader and the Griaule's FingerprintNetSample application worked as expected.
The Secugen diagnostic tool continued to work as expected.
This problem is the same as that raised by Peter on this forum on 24 Sept 2009.
What must be done so that Griaule 2009 SDK can use the HSDU03M reader?
