Prerequisites for uninstallation process
|
- Remove all users and groups from any biometric group ("grFastBiometric", "grSmartBiometric" and "grStrongBiometric").
- Users who were part of the "Fast Logon" and "Smart Logon" groups must do a logon using their fingerprints (and username, in case of the "Smart Logon" method). When they do this, they will be notified by the Biometric Logon Client that they now must log on using their username and a temporary password (that will also be shown in the message). The users must write down this password and immediately log on using the standard Windows logon method. Finally, the users are advised to change their password.
- Users who were part of the "Strong" group must do a logon using the standard Windows username/password logon method.
Biometric Logon Client uninstall
There are also two ways to uninstall it:
- Use the Add or Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Use the GPO Editor to uninstall the package:
- Open the GPO Editor MMC snap-in.
- Open the correct GPO, depending on the context you're working (Site, Domain or Organization Unit).
- Go to Computer Configuration / Software Settings / Software installation. Right-click the Biometric Logon Client entry in the list. Choose All Tasks / Remove A confirmation dialog will open. Click on OK.

When you remove assigned applications from computers, the applications are automatically uninstalled on them at startup.
