This section presents a simple GrFinger Desktop Identity scenario as an example: a Windows application for car parking management. When a driver comes to get his/her car, the operator enters the vehicle plate in the system and the parking bill is displayed.
Using GrFinger Desktop Identity, each driver has his/her fingerprint registered and his/her vehicle plate is used as text identifier. GrFinger Desktop Identity is configured to submit the text identifier to the keyboard, also sending an ENTER key after it.
With GrFinger Desktop Identity running and ready to identify fingerprints, the car parking management is used with no interference. Once a driver comes to get his/her car, the operator enters the application’s search screen, as shown in the picture below, waiting for the vehicle plate number. Instead of asking the driver the vehicle’s plate number, all that is needed is that he/she places his/her finger over the fingerprint reader. Once the driver is identified, the plate number field will be automatically filled and the parking bill is displayed.
