Supported operating systems
These are the operating systems supported by Griaule AFIS:
- Windows Server 2003
- Windows XP Professional
- Windows XP Home Edition
- Windows XP Media Center Edition
- Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
- Windows 2000 Server (Service Pack 2 or later recommended)
- Windows 2000 Professional (Service Pack 2 or later recommended)
- Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me)
- Windows 98 SE
- Windows 98 with IE 5.0 or later
- Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 6a with IE 5.0 or later required)
Minimum hardware requirements
1 GHz Pentium III Processor or equivalent. 512MB of RAM. 100MB of free hard disk space. You also need to check the supported operating systems and the computer requirements for the fingerprint reader that you are going to use. In order to do this, check the manufacturer's website or the fingerprint reader's documentation. In order to use WDM capture, Windows 2000 or later is required.
Supported Integrated Development Environments
Griaule AFIS ActiveX library is supported by all IDEs that fully support ActiveX. It was fully tested with Visual Basic 6, Delphi and Visual Studio .NET, which are the most commonly used IDEs for Windows. If you intend to create your applications, using a programming language that is not supported by these IDEs, you should try to get the Griaule AFIS ActiveX imported to your language. An example is Delphi, which imports the Griaule AFIS ActiveX in a package that wraps the ActiveX.
